HEALTH CARE REFORM: WHO’S RIGHT AND WHO LIES?

Published by vphipps at 6:31 pm under news, politics Edit This

It’s wise to take the time to actually get the facts and do the research it takes to understand Obama’s Health Care Plan before we lose yet another opportunity to reform the big mistakes, massive costs and lives lost due to the current way we deal with health care today. To make a decision that’s not based on the ludicrous statements some politicians make, you’ll need to look at the facts with an open mind and refuse the political need to be “right.” Otherwise the insanity, hype and/or the propaganda produced by extreme political views will only lead us to continued huge issues. When people are afraid of change, the facts remain the same.

The GOP is doing all it can do to make sure that we are too confused to know which side is telling the truth. Their strategy has been to use fear based hate when they debate this particular issue, just like they did in the campaign. Even so, democrats use propaganda too and no one wins when we choose to communicate that way. In the mean time, lives are lost due to the high cost of healthcare every day and the facts will remain the same unless and until someone steps up to the plate and dares to cooperate.

If we are going to use fear based ways to communicate what we debate, let’s at least use fear based facts. Otherwise, we’ll begin to believe lies that people use to confuse and abuse the truth. The fact is that Obama never said the government would put a gun, (the one he took from you) to your head and force you to take government assistance in any way. He did NOT say the government would take your health insurance away. If you like the high price you pay, then go ahead and keep what you have today. If you find no need to survive a deadly disease for free, then by all means, use whatever plan you choose. It will still be up to you, but then again, when and/or if you go through a few hard times in life and can’t pay what you can afford today, Obama’s plan can. If your mind is so closed to the issues, those issues just might come back to haunt you. Then again, if you believe lies to hide your need to be right all the time, just keep in mind that if you find yourself too sick to work or earn enough income to survive, you just might change your mind, but it would be too late.

If you refuse to listen to someone like me, an American who was branded with, “The Big C,” you’ll never see the reality of what that might cost someone like you, eventually. Although I don’t like to make others afraid just to get my point across, the facts remain the same. The fact is that in spite of my great health care insurance, I pay through the teeth to be, “cancer free.” The longer I live, the more in debt I’ll be, not due to the economy, but due to what my high priced insurance won’t pay. Keep in mind it takes a life time to keep incurable diseases at bay, but in the end it will be YOU who pays. When the insurance funds runs dry, you’ll die without a dime.

By the way, due to the economy today, some will become those who have no health care plan at all. More and more Americans are losing their jobs, and the wealthy insurance companies don’t care to be aware of how your family will survive this economic demise. In the mean time, the medical world, including the pharmaceutical companies won’t care how unfair it is when your kids get sick and you can’t afford to fix what makes them sick. If you can’t pay what it takes, they’ll send your sick kid away. They do this every day. In fact, according to a few extreme right winged views, they’ll say your sick kids should just, “Get over it.”

If you happen to need a transplant of some kind, you’ll need to pay the price or you’ll die. Just to get on a very long waiting list, you’ll need to be rich, so please listen to the other guy sometimes. Open your mind sometimes to new and improved views. Open your eyes to see the need for change, or the facts will remain the same.

For our nation’s sake, not to mention mankind, let’s not be brainwashed into believing what those who rant and rave in fear based ways say. Anyone who uses abuse to claim the truth is nothing but a terrorist attack. Just listen to the facts. Anyone who chooses to communicate that way does not have our best interests in mind. They just urgently need to be right. Keep in mind that anyone who refuses to listen to the other guy sometimes will only hold us back, and the fact remains that we NEED to reform and change our health care plan today.  For everyone’s  sake, please cooperate.

This is the Dems plan. I believe they are the ones confussing everyone. Obama had 4 primetime “health care” platforms and each time…more confussion (not to mention that he is on tv every day pitching his plan) . Its their baby to explain…not the Repubs. Have you seen the bill or heard the words from Obama’s lips?

When you tell a national audience that maybe you should take a pain-pill instead of surgery…I think that scares folks. When you tell small businesses that they are required to provide health insurance or face an 8 % penalty (tax on payroll), that scares folks.

No doubt, both sides are putting information out there to combat each others claims. I’m confused as to what they want. At the beginning it was called “health care” reform and now they have switched to “health insurance reform.” Which is it?

Individuals speaking their minds and pointing out concerns is no way a “terrorist attack.” Dissent is democracy.
