“YOU LIE”: WHAT PEOPLE SAY WHEN THEY’RE AFRAID OF MONSTERS IN THEIR MIND

Published by vphipps at 5:40 pm under news, politics Edit This

Someone once said, “Fear is the false evidence that appears to be real.” Although I don’t know who thought that thought, I think he or she is wise. It’s just a thought that went through someone’s mind but because he or she dared to document in print what he or she thought about one day, he or she gave me a thought to think too. It’s those thoughts we think that will do one of two things; damage or improve. That’s why I decided to write about the thought some wise guy documented in print for people like you and I to think about today. Since it’s written in English, he or she probably thought this thought would be something we should think about right here in the United States, at least some day.

This thought would explain why so many people today are afraid of thoughts they’d never dared to think of before, like the need for change, civil rights for all, more than enough health care for everyone and the fact that a black man with an Arabic sounding name could possibly become the President of the United States by 2008. Who knew what thoughts could do?

When something comes up that we never thought of, we tend to become afraid, and what makes us afraid creates monsters in our minds that bite our society’s behind. Fear based thoughts hold us back and lead to the fact that a grown man will shout out in a crowd, “YOU LIE,” like a child who didn’t get his way.

Maybe we could think of a way to change the facts that remain the same unless someone dares to go out on a limb and think of something different to say. Then again, it’s just a thought and what I think doesn’t mean a thing, unless my thoughts inspire you to think too. Only then will our society improve, but when I think of negative things, all I produce is a bunch of negative poop.

They say that when people share their fear based thoughts, they always find friends who think like them, and then they create their own, ” fear based herd.” After that, they become like a herd of cattle who scream and stampede over those who don’t think like they do. That’s why you’ll find that you’ll need to go through a bunch of cow paddies and bull s@#I* to get to get to them, much less convince them that they don’t need to be afraid of you. It’s nothing but waste and what we refuse to release creates huge issues.

For instance: Just think of the preacher who actually prays every day for the President’s demise. He’s not unlike those who crucified Jesus Christ. Then again, it was men like him who crucified Martin Luther King and JFK too. It’s always fear that hangs men on a cross of false thoughts.

They say “Beware of wolves disguised as lambs,” but more often than not, if it looks, talks and walks like a lamb, it’s probably a lamb. You can think in your terrified mind, “No, we can’t pay for a change,” when in fact, “Yes we can.” You might even think you need to be afraid of change or the President of the United States, when the change we make and he just might be our saving grace. You might think you need to pray for a man’s demise when he just might be a blessing in disguise. Besides, Obama’s thoughts are not any more socialistic than what Roosevelt thought, so let’s think of his wise social advise. “The only thing we need to fear is fear itself.”

It’s rude, crude and socially unacceptable to shout out at anyone just because they disagree with what you think. Besides, the other guy just might be right, and then, it’s YOU who looks like a fool when time proves the truth.

Let’s keep this thought in mind every time we think we hear a lie or see a monster of any kind: It’s those monsters in our minds that bite our society’s behind all the time. They hold us back and make us think we lack what we don’t. Besides, thoughts become things which lead to what we believe and the more we believe in something false, the faster that lie becomes true for you. Then, when it comes true for you, it becomes true for me too, so please think positively when you think about the truth, and if a monster pops into your mind, don’t scream, “YOU LIE.” Just shut up and let the rest of us listen to a new thought. After that, if you’re still afraid of those monsters in your mind, just tell it to go away and say, ” It’s just a thought, and thoughts create big mistakes.” Instead, let’s think like Martin Luther King who thought beyond the lies we hide behind to see beyond what makes us afraid.
